GREEK WINES

Greece, the southernmost edge of Europe

Greece

Greece is a country located in southeastern Europe on the southern end of the Balkan Peninsula, Eastern Mediterranean. The capital and largest city of Greece is Athens.

It is bordered by Albania, Bulgaria, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) and Turkey to the north, to the east by the Aegean Sea, to the west by the Ionian sea and to the south by the Mediterranean Sea.

Greece is one of the countries with the longest coastline at 13,676 km, and has a whole lot of several islands including Crete (that is our island!), the Dodecanese, the Cyclades, the Ionian Islands and many others.

It has a long, rich history which brought about great cultural influence on the three neighboring continents. The ideals of Democracy and Philosophy were born here! Finally, Greece is the birthplace of the Olympic Games, drama, tragedy and comedy.
