Cretan (Greek) grape variety Liatiko - Liatiko Grape from Crete, Greece

Liatiko Liatiko grapes Cretan grape variety Liatiko

Cretan variety grown especially in Heraklion and Lassithi and is used in  the production of wines  “Dafnes PDO” and “Sitia PDO” wines.

It is used for the production of  dry and sweet wines as well.

Sweet wines  are made naturally by sun-dried Liatiko grapes and not by adding alcohol.

Because of sun exposure, sweet wines  have great  aromatic intensity  of ripe sweet fruits like figs and raisins.

Cretan variety Liatiko gives us wines with relatively low colour intensity but  intense nose of  rich, ripe red fruits and sweet spices. Full body with  soft tannins.
